Order your prescription:
1. Online. You need a PIN code from reception to create your online account.
2. Drop the repeat-slip into our post-box just inside the front door or hand to staff at reception.
3. By post.
4. Drop your repeat-slip into the chemist.
Please allow two working days before you collect your prescription.
Sometimes medication may be given and not put on the slip for repeating.
This may be to allow the doctor to assess how suitable the medication proves to be.
In this case you may need to phone a doctor, at phone call time, or you may wish to make an appointment.
From time to time patients will be invited to see the doctor or nurse for a medication review.
Sometimes a blood test will be arranged in advance.
This allows us to provide you with repeat prescriptions in a safe manner.
-------------------
In 2010 we stopped accepting repeat prescription requests over the phone.
This brings our practice into line with others in the locality.
This new system will be safer for patients. Some requests for medication over the phone are not clear and it can take considerable time and effort to clarify what is required. Written requests avoid potential confusion and medication errors. In addition we will reduce the number of calls to the surgery which will improve telephone access for those in need of emergency help, advice or making appointments.
Patients receiving repeat medications can order prescriptions by dropping the repeat slip into the surgery or chemist, sending it in by post, or by using the online ordering system.
